The new South Huntsville Public Library will open on Tuesday, September 28 at 12:00 p.m.
Please complete the following form to apply to be a volunteer with the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library. Once your application is received, you will be contacted for a Volunteer Interview and, if accepted as a volunteer, will be scheduled to attend a Volunteer Orientation at the Downtown Huntsville Library. Volunteers must complete an application, a interview, and a orientation session in order to volunteer.
When entering your name, address, and date of birth, you must enter your legal name, current residence, and date of birth shown on your state issued identification.
If you have a name you prefer to go by, please mention this in the Comments box at the end of the application. If your identification does not list your current residence, you must mention this in the Comments box at the end of the application. Falsification of any of this information will disqualify you from the HMCPL Volunteer Program.
Teen Volunteers are coordinated through a separate program at HMCPL. If you are between the ages of 14 and 18 and wish to volunteer, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator via email at email@example.com
Please note that HMCPL is not currently accepting court-ordered community service applicants at this time.
